Low-volume production begins with a reviewed application and, when fit or function matters, an approved pilot. Repeat work is quoted only after the file, material, quantity, timing, and agreed checks are recorded for the job.

Production follows approval, not assumption.

The shop is intentionally focused on practical low-volume work and ongoing local production relationships rather than anonymous, high-volume click-to-print orders.

Repeat orders can use the same recorded job setup when nothing has changed. Changes to the file, material, or application require review.

Pilot-first work

Evaluate fit or function on a pilot part and agree on acceptance criteria before scaling quantity.

Work directly with the person handling application review, quoting, production planning, and customer communication.

What we review before quoting.

A short run still needs a defined application, stable scope, material choice, quantity, timing, and acceptance expectations. Those elements are reviewed before scheduling.

Approved application

Confirm that the intended use remains within the shop's scope and that the production file is ready for review.

Pilot and criteria

When fit or function matters, approve a pilot and agree on the acceptance criteria before increasing quantity.

Quantity and timing

Define the batch quantity, deadline, and whether repeat orders are expected.

Production plan

Confirm material, setup, agreed checks, timing, and delivery arrangements for the short run.

Send the reviewed STEP, parametric CAD, or STL file, plus intended use, quantity, deadline, and acceptance criteria. Production quantities are quoted separately from the introductory prototype program.

“Controlled” means the job scope, file, material, quantity, timing, and agreed checks are recorded; it does not imply certified quality systems, material traceability, or validated process capability. Low volume does not expand the shop's safety limits.
